Healing Energy
For centuries, healers have connected with the divine power of “Universal Life Force Energy”
(the energy that flows within all living things) through loving gentle touch to aid the ill. Recently rediscovered by western doctors, today’s modern medicine men, energy healing is currently being used in hospitals throughout the world. While the names of varying modalities may differ, the basic concepts and origins are consistent. All energy healing comes from Source, Divinity, the one God.
Hands on healing is a powerful complementary healing tool. It is my passion, privilege and honor to share this beautiful work with others. I was first introduced to energy healing through the ancient tradition of Reiki. In my practice, I blend Reiki with the art of Healing Touch and CranioSacral Therapy as well as other sacred systems.
Every one has the ability to access healing energy and pass it on to others. Learning to access Divinity for healing is like anything in life - if we apply ourselves to art, we learn to draw; if we apply ourselves to music, we learn to play; if we apply ourselves to sports, we become athletic; if we apply ourselves to learning, we become knowledgeable.
With energy healing, the provider allows Universal Life Force Energy to flow through to the client restoring balance to the body, mind and spirit. I invite you to explore this blessed approach to creating harmony in your life.
How It Works
Dating back to 4000 B.C. in Egypt, the concept of energy healing works on the premise of an energy system within our bodies, specifically the energy field (aura), energy centers (chakras) and energy tracts (meridiens):
 The aura has four levels of energy or consciousness - the etheric, emotional, mental and spiritual, which in itself contains another four layers.
The chakras serve as master switches of energy movement; there are seven major chakras and several minor chakras dispersed throughout the body. The main chakras are root (base), sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, brow (third eye) and crown.
Meridiens are lines of force where the life essence travels through the entire interior of the body. The meridiens are commonly used in shiatsu, acupressure, acupuncture and other holistic therapies.
Universal Life Force Energy is directed through the practitioner to the recipient to be received where it is most critically needed. Similar to a doctor resetting a bone to facilitate healing, a practitioner aligns and balances the energy field facilitating a condition of the recipient to self heal. As with all energy healing, a heart centered consciousness is the basis for treatment.
Just as in writing there is a literal truth and a poetic truth, in the human body there is a physical anatomy and an ethereal anatomy. Sometimes referred to as bio-field therapy, energy healing relaxes the body which releases endorphins in the brain, the endorphins relax the muscles which in turn create more space between cells providing increased circulation. The increase in blood flow elevates oxygen levels through the body allowing nutrients to be absorbed more efficiently and building enzymes for proper digestion. The hormones stabilize, toxins release and the immune system is regulated affecting the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual facets of the body’s energy field supporting self healing.
The energy system is influenced by the environment, thought, emotions and actions. Potential illness may appear in the energy system before physical signs manifest. Balancing the energy system is both preventive and curative.
